Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware says there is nothing wrong with the Tigers’ defense and feels sometimes the media likes to write its own narrative instead of watching the film.
The Tigers’ All-American linebacker acknowledges the defense’s struggles against Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech in two of the Tigers’ last last four games, but he says those offenses deserve credit for making plays and being good all season.
“If you look at Pittsburgh’s games, they have not scored less than 35 points a game,” Boulware said. “We knew going into that game that they were going to put up some points. Their offense was going to find ways to beat us.”
Clemson, the No. 2 seed, will play No. 3 Ohio State on Saturday in the Fiesta Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff semifinals.
