Clemson takes control late in third quarter

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Clemson made it a three-score differential late in the third quarter when Deshaun Watson ran for a 7-yard touchdown with 2:06 remaining in the frame to make the score 24-0. It was Watson’s second rushing touchdown of the game and third overall.

The drive by the Tigers spanned five plays and 40 yards in 2:03. The possession began at Ohio State’s 40-yard line following a kick-catching interference penalty against the Buckeyes on Clemson’s punt return.
