Four-star wide receiver Jordyn Adams was among the numerous top targets on Clemson’s campus Saturday for Junior Day.

Adams, who made the trip from Cary, N.C., with his mother, caught up with The Clemson Insider about his visit.

“It went good,” Adams said. “I had a good time.”

After seeing the campus and experiencing the atmosphere at Clemson during visits for the Syracuse and South Carolina games this season, Adams especially enjoyed learning more about the academic side of things this time around.

He also had fun trying on a Clemson uniform during the recruit photo shoot.

“Talking academics with the advisors,” Adams said when asked about his favorite part of the visit, “then the photo shoot.”

Checking out Clemson’s recently completed $55 million football operations center was up there, too, and it drew good reviews from Adams.

“Best in the country!” Adams said of the facility. “So much to do, and it is very fun.”

Adams, who received one of his 14 scholarship offers from Clemson in October, enrolled at Green Hope High in Cary last week after transferring from Blythewood (S.C.) High.

Adams’ father, Deke Adams, was announced as the new defensive line coach at North Carolina last week following a three-year stint at East Carolina.

Jordyn said his dad’s new gig won’t impact his recruitment.

“Good for the family,” he said, “but doesn’t effect my recruitment at all.”

Jordyn carries offers from North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, TCU and Virginia Tech among others.

Where does Clemson stand with him right now?

“Still taking in everything from other schools,” he said.

Adams played quarterback for Blythewood, and he is rated by 247Sports as a top-150 prospect in the 2018 class and a top-five athlete nationally. Clemson is recruiting him as a wide receiver.
