Trayvon Mullen was Clemson’s signing day surprise in 2016. The Tigers beat out Florida State, TCU and LSU for the No. 2 cornerback in the country. He saw limited action this year, but might have helped Clemson recruit future talent.

Tiawan Mullen, Trayvon’s 5-foot-10, 160-pound younger brother, could be reunited in the Clemson secondary in 2019.

While the younger Mullen currently does not field an offer from Clemson, he is only a rising junior at Coconut Creek (Fla.), where he and his brother played together.

Mullen said he would enjoy getting to play alongside his brother again.

“It would be great,” he said. “It would be just like when we were in high school.”

Although he is still years away from playing college ball and has not taken any official visits yet, Clemson already has a leg up in that department. Mullen said he frequently hears about what it is like to be a part of the program on a day-to-day basis.

“Great atmosphere also great facility,” said Mullen, “but I already know because of my brother. He tells me what it’s like.”

According to Mullen, all of the seven schools that have given him offers are on an equal playing field.

“As of right now, no because I am going to give all schools a chance,” he said.

In addition to Clemson, he is also looking for offers from Oregon, USC and Ole Miss.

As Clemson considers offers and recruits for the 2019 class, Mullen said he has plenty to offer the Tigers.

“I am athletic, and can play anywhere in the secondary,” he said. “I’m also fast and can play (kick) return man or punt return.”
