Clemson linebacker Tre Lamar says he is mostly getting work in at middle linebacker this spring, as he competes with a laundry list of players. Lamar is looking to fill the position left open at linebacker with the graduation of All-American Ben Boulware.

“We have a lot coming back (at linebacker) and I’m excited about what we are going to look like this year,” Lamar said. “Someone has to step (to replace Ben), and I’m going to try and be that guy.”

Last year, Lamar played in all 15 games as a true freshman, mostly on special teams, as he recorded 22 tackles, had two and a half tackles for loss and one sack. He had seven tackles on special teams.
