Clemson sophomore Brooks Crawford is a right-handed pitched from Bishop, Ga. As one of the bullpen’s biggest go-to guys, Crawford has thrown exceptionally well this year on the mound and has a season record of 3-0.
The Clemson Insider got the chance to talk with Crawford about some of his personal interests and hobbies that go beyond the field. Check out the interview in this week’s Player Spotlight.
Who is your favorite MLB player and why?
Crawford: “I don’t really have one but if I had to say it my all-time favorite is Brooks Robinson just because I’m actually named after him.”
When you’re not playing baseball what are you doing?
Crawford: “Playing video games or hanging out with friends. I love to go fishing and just outdoor kind of stuff.”
Do you have any hidden talents that most people wouldn’t know about?
Crawford: “I do not. I wish I did but I don’t.”
What’s the one food you can’t live without?
Crawford: “Steak. Love steak. Always gotta have it.”
What is your favorite movie?
Crawford: “That’s a tough one. I’d have to say Step Brothers just because it’s really funny and I just really love Will Ferrell.”
What has been your best memory at Clemson so far?
Crawford: “So far definitely the ACC Championship. That’s been by far the best memory and I think it will be my best memory until we actually make it to Omaha.”
What is your pre-game playlist like?
Crawford: “I don’t really listen to much actually. I just kind of go with the flow of the BP music and just kind of get my thoughts together.”
How would your friends describe you?
Crawford: “Definitely kind of shy a little. I don’t really talk much until I get to know people. Maybe funny, I’m not saying I’m a class clown or anything but they could also say I’m kind of crazy. I just say random things at random times around them.”
Where is your favorite place to shop?
Crawford: “I’m not much of a shopper but I’m a big shoe guy. So I’d have to say either Footaction or Foot Locker.”
