Clemson grabbed a 3-0 lead on Wake Forest in the bottom of the third inning thanks to two hits and an error.
After Jordan Greene got a one-out walk and Grayson Byrd singled through the left side, Clemson scored the first run when Wake’s Johnny Aiello booted the ball at third base, allowing the ball to roll into left and Greene to come home for a 1-0 lead.
Reed Rohlman then ran out an infield hit, allowing Byrd to come home for a 2-0 lead. Pinder scored a few moments earlier when starter Donnie Sellers threw a wild pitch which got Pinder home for the third run.
