Clemson pitcher Alex Eubanks will get the baseball first when No. 1 seed Clemson plays No. 4 UNC Greensboro in the Clemson Regional on Friday in Game 2 at 7 p.m.
Clemson announced on Wednesday Eubanks will be the starter for the Tigers in their first game of the regional. Earlier this week, Eubanks discussed the possibility of starting in the first game and his role on the staff this coming weekend.
Eubanks has a 6-5 record as a starter this year. He has appeared in 16 games and has started 14 this year. He has a 4.12 ERA in 94 innings pitched. He has 97 strikeouts to 33 walks, but he has allowed a team-high 13 home runs this season.
