Well folks, Trevor Lawrence is back on the list after a brief hiatus in the form of a bye week and he’s breaking records once again.
Lawrence surpassed Deshaun Watson’s Georgia State record, this one for career passing touchdowns, throwing two on Friday night, raising his total to 156.
The No. 1 ranked pocket passer quarterback in the country helped lead Cartersville (Ga.) to a 52-13 win over Troup County (Ga.), completing 17-of-31 passes (his most attempts in a game this season) for 222 yards in addition to gaining 30 yards with his legs.
Although Lawrence’s arrival is of great anticipation, we’ll throw in one more player of the week just so fans can get to know some other recruits, it’s not their fault Lawrence is taking the spotlight.
Welcome Kyler McMichael, you’ve made the list!
In his last regular season game, McMichael, who will be suiting up for the Tigers in the secondary at most likely safety, helped Greater Atlanta Christian (Ga.) defeat Dawson County (Ga.) 49-10 at running back.
In the process, he ran for 139 yards and two scores on only five carries.
McMichael’s athleticism and versatility will be valuable to a Clemson secondary that relies on players being able to play an assortment of positions.
