COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley was asked about the “never again” comments in his press conference after the 24th-ranked Gamecocks’ 34-10 loss to No. 3 Clemson on Saturday night at Williams-Brice Stadium. Bentley felt South Carolina accomplished the “never again” mantra by competing until end of the game and scoring late.
“We didn’t stop competing the whole game,” Bentley said. “The offense went down and scored late. It shows we didn’t stop competing. Obviously we didn’t play as well as we wanted to, but that was the whole thing with ‘never again’ was to not stop competing.”
