Clemson makes cut for 4-star DB

Four-star safety Litchfield Ajavon named Clemson among his top seven schools on Friday night via social media.

Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin also made the cut for the 2019 prospect from Alexandria (Va.) Episcopal.

“I’m truly grateful for all the schools that have given me the opportunity to play football at the next level,” Ajavon wrote in a Twitter post. “I will be narrowing my options down to these seven schools (not in order).”

In addition to his top seven, Ajavon has offers from Duke, Indiana, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan State, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Syracuse, Virginia and Wake Forest.

Ajavon attended Clemson’s junior day in March before receiving an offer from the Tigers in April. He returned to Clemson on an unofficial visit for The Citadel game Nov. 18.

Ajavon (6-0, 185) is ranked by ESPN as the No. 14 safety and No. 204 overall prospect in the 2019 class.
