For the second time in three days a Clemson quarterback has announced he will be leaving the Clemson program to explore other avenues.
On Monday, Clemson backup quarterback Tucker Israel announced, via Twitter on Clemson Football’s official account, his intentions to transfer to another school.
Last Friday, redshirt freshman Zerrick Cooper announced he will be transferring as well. With the two leaving the program, Clemson now has four scholarship quarterbacks on the roster: Kelly Bryant, Hunter Johnson, Chase Brice and Trevor Lawrence.
"My time here at Clemson will always hold a special place in my heart."
We look forward to Tucker Israel doing great things in life after getting his degree from @ClemsonUniv. We wish for good luck & great success for 🔟!👏👏👏

Israel enrolled at Clemson in January 2015, and was 4-for-4 passing for 25 yards with no interceptions in the two games he played in during in his career in Tigertown. Due to a stomach illness prior to the start of the season, the redshirt sophomore did not play in 2017.
Israel is expected to get his degree after the spring semester and thus can play immediately wherever he chooses to attend school. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
