Battling for Opening Day spots

In just three short weeks, Opening Day will be here for the Clemson Tigers, who are ranked No. 12 by Baseball America in the preseason.

Starting Feb. 16 the Tigers host William and Mary in their first series of the season. Friday was Clemson’s first full team practice of the 2018 season.

After losing their entire starting pitching rotation from last season there are many battling for the open spots. On Friday the media spoke with Ryan Miller, Spencer Strider and Ryley Gilliam about the pitching situation.

Although the starting pitchers are still uncertain, if one thing is for sure it is that returners Logan Davidson, Seth Beer and Chris Williams are expected to bring power to the line up once again.
