Former Clemson All-American Brian Dawkins has been named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Dawkins, who was in his second year of eligibility, is the first former Clemson player to be named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Dawkins lettered at Clemson from 1992-95 as a safety. He went on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Denver Broncos in the NFL from 1996-2011, while earning nine Pro Bowl selections. Five times he was named All-Pro. Both are records for a former Clemson player.
Here is what they are saying about Clemson’s former safety being named to the Class of 2018 on Twitter.

He won’t want the credit, but fans oughta know that HOF candidates have their cases presented by a media member from the city they played in. @pdomo made the Brian Dawkins case, and another voter told me tonight that Domo did a mic-drop level job.
