Clemson Football Rewind: Bryant outshines Jackson on big stage

While getting ready for spring practice, which starts in six days, how about relive some of the best moments and games of 2017.

Lamar Jackson got his own on at Papa John’s Stadium in Louisville on September 16, 2017, but No. 2 Clemson got more.

Though last year’s Heisman Trophy winner threw for 317 yards and three touchdowns, it was Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant and the defense that shined as the Tigers dominated No. 14 Louisville, 47-21, in Louisville, Ky.

It was Clemson’s fourth straight win in the series, but the first time the game did not come down to the final seconds. The previous three meetings were each decided by three points or less.

Clemson, which improved to 3-0 and 1-0 in the ACC with the win, got 316 passing yards and three total touchdowns from Bryant, while Dorian O’Daniel’s 44-yard interception return for a touchdown with 8:57 to play in the third quarter gave the Tigers a 26-7 lead to began the rout.

Bryant finished the game completing 22-of-32 passes. The Tigers finished the game with 613 total yards and ran for 297 yards.
