Clemson has picked up a late addition to its 2018 class.
Columbus (Ga.) long-snapper Ty Lucas has accepted a preferred walk-on offer from Clemson and announced his commitment to the Tigers via social media Friday evening.
“Officially committed to CLEMSON UNIVERSITY!!” Lucas wrote in a Twitter post. “God is good, and none of this would be done without him!! Thanks to anyone that has helped me through this process!! Go Tigers!!!”
Lucas (5-10, 185) was on Clemson’s campus for a visit Friday. He has worked out at the Dabo Swinney Camp in the past.
Lucas will be able to walk on in either August or January.
