The latest D1Baseball Rankings were released on Monday.
The Tigers moved up to No. 12 this week. D1Baseball’s Aaron Fitt was there for all three games this weekend as Clemson won the three-game series over South Carolina.
Of course Clemson (10-1) is coming off a 3-1 week which saw it beat Winthrop in extra innings last Tuesday and then rally to beat rival South Carolina in the weekend after losing the opening game of their three-game series.
The Tigers won the series on Sunday thanks to Drew Wharton’s game-winning triple off the wall in right field with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to win Game 3 at Clemson’s Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Robert Jolly came all the way from first base to score the winning run.
Clemson will play Wofford on Tuesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
