GREENVILLE, S.C. — Clemson reliever Carson Spiers capped off the sixth-ranked Clemson’s thrilling 9-7 victory over Michigan State on Wednesday night at Fluor Field in Greenville.
Spiers came in with the bases loaded in the ninth and Clemson clinging to a two-run lead. The sophomore righthander recorded the last two outs to register his second save of the year.
On Tuesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, Spiers pitched the final 3.2 innings of Clemson’s 6-3 victory over Wofford to earn his first career win.
