Clemson OL target commits elsewhere

A Clemson offensive line target in the class of 2024 has committed elsewhere.

Hough High School (Cornelius, N.C.) three-star tackle Eagan Boyer announced his commitment to Penn State on Tuesday.

Boyer is teammates with Clemson class of 2024 kicker commitment Nolan Hauser.

The 6-foot-8, 265-pound rising senior chose the Nittany Lions over offers from schools such as Clemson, Auburn, Michigan, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin, to name some.

Boyer received an offer from Clemson in February and was on campus for the program’s junior day in March. He also visited Clemson for a couple of games last season and had been lined up to return to Tiger Town for an official visit the weekend of June 2.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Boyer is the No. 20 prospect in the state of North Carolina for the 2024 class and the No. 46 offensive tackle.
