SYRACUSE — The Clemson Tigers are shorthanded on both sides of the ball in Syracuse, with recent injuries hindering the outside against the Orange.
Wide receiver Antonio Williams is absent from the travel roster, missing a second-straight week with a lower body injury. In his absence, freshman Tyler Brown has stepped up and he’ll have to do so again in the JMA Wireless Dome.
On the other side of the ball, cornerback Nate Wiggins is out after suffering a leg injury against Florida State last week. The timetable for his return is still unknown, but it was great news that he’ll be back this year after the initial concern Saturday. Jaedyn Lukus stepped in for him against the Seminoles, and he’ll be doing the same alongside Toriano Pride Jr.
Clemson will battle through these absences against undefeated Syracuse with kickoff at noon, televised on ABC.
