Latest AP Poll Released After Week 6

The latest AP Top 25 Poll was released Sunday following Week 6 of the college football season.

Clemson (4-2, 2-2 ACC) remains unranked in the AP Poll following Saturday’s 17-12 win over Wake Forest (3-2, 0-2) at Death Valley.

The Tigers haven’t been ranked in the AP Poll since dropping out after their 66-17 win over Charleston Southern in Week 2.

Clemson is still among the teams outside of the AP Top 25 receiving votes, with the Tigers getting 17 votes.

On Saturday, Clemson’s defense set the tone and the running game picked up 207 yards to lead the Tigers to their 15th straight win in the series against the Demon Deacons. Clemson’s defense produced eight tackles for loss, four sacks, a fumble recovery and 2.6 yards per rush allowed on 39 carries.

Offensively, quarterback Cade Klubnik completed 18-of-28 passes to total 131 yards and added 48 rushing yards, including a 7-yard touchdown scamper in the first quarter. Running back Will Shipley led Clemson in rushing yards with 97, including his 1-yard touchdown with 5:49 to play to give Clemson a two-score advantage.

Clemson has a midseason open date next weekend before returning to action on Saturday, Oct. 21, at Miami.
