One of the headlining visitors for Clemson’s game against Wake Forest last Saturday was a big-time tight end prospect in the 2026 class.
Donelson Christian Academy (Nashville, Tenn.) four-star Carson Sneed was on hand for the Tigers’ 17-12 victory over the Demon Deacons.
“First time visiting Clemson,” Sneed told The Clemson Insider. “The highlight was probably meeting (tight ends) coach (Kyle) Richardson.”
Sneed – the nation’s No. 3 tight end prospect in his class, per the 247Sports Composite – also had the chance to spend plenty of time with Clemson offensive graduate assistant Andrew Shipman.
“He was cool,” Sneed said. “Good time.”
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound sophomore enjoyed the environment at Death Valley as well.
“I thought the atmosphere was very solid,” Sneed said. “Lots of energy.”
Sneed has already scored scholarship offers from a slew of programs, including ones such as Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Wisconsin.
Sneed said Clemson showed him “love” during last Saturday’s visit, and he’d certainly appreciate an offer from the Tigers if they were to join his offer list in the future.
“It would mean a lot to get an offer because I know they are picky about who they give them to,” he said, “and not many guys get them per position.”
Sneed is ranked as a top-100 national prospect in the 2026 class by Rivals (No. 51), the 247Sports Composite (No. 65) and 247Sports (No. 87).
