This sought-after offensive line prospect from the Lone Star State has been staying in touch with Clemson.
Trinity Christian Academy (Addison, Texas) four-star tackle Jaylan Beckley continues to communicate and build upon his bond with members of the Tigers’ staff, including offensive line coach Thomas Austin, offensive player development coach Carson Cramer and head man Dabo Swinney.
“I’ve been in contact with Coach Austin and Coach Cramer the most consistently,” Beckley told The Clemson Insider. “I’ve just been focusing on building a relationship with them and it’s been great getting to get to know both of them more! I’ve texted with Coach Swinney a few times as well. It’s just a great staff overall!”
Beckley, a class of 2025 recruit with close to 20 scholarship offers, has been feeling a lot of love from the Tigers.
“Clemson does an amazing job at showing the love!” he said. “There are a few schools that are just really good at recruiting and making the process personal, and Clemson is definitely at the top!”
Beckley earned an offer from Clemson in June after working out at the Swinney Football Camp. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound junior was hoping to return to Tiger Town for a game sometime this season and tried to make it happen, but he and his family couldn’t work out the long-distance trip.
“Unfortunately I don’t think my family will be able to get to Clemson during the football season, so my next visit may have to wait until it’s time for official visits,” Beckley said. “I’m really looking forward to being back on campus!”
Beckley boasts an impressive offer list that, along with Clemson, features Auburn, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas A&M to name some.
Where does Clemson stand with him at this point in the recruiting process?
“The Tigers have always been high on my list and that hasn’t changed,” he said. “I love Clemson.”
