Talented Virginia ATH Recaps ‘Amazing’ First Clemson Visit

This talented class of 2026 recruit, with several power conference offers already in tow, came away very impressed after his first trip to Clemson a couple of weekends ago.

Oscar Smith High School (Chesapeake, Va.) athlete Jacoby Marshall didn’t leave disappointed after his unofficial visit to Death Valley for the Oct. 7 game vs. Wake Forest.

“I had an amazing time,” he said. “It was a great experience and I had fun running the hill.”

Added Marshall of the environment during the Tigers’ 17-12 victory over the Demon Deacons: “I thought the atmosphere was great. I really loved.”

Marshall, classified as an athlete by multiple recruiting services, can line up at different positions on the field but currently plays defensive back for Oscar Smith.

The 6-foot, 185-pound sophomore was able to spend some time chatting with Clemson cornerbacks coach Mike Reed during the visit.

“I got to talk to Coach Reed and he was just talking about Clemson,” Marshall said. “I know they like my talent, and when I went on the visit, I felt good and happy to be there.”

The Tigers won’t turn the page to offering 2026 prospects until next summer, but what would it mean to Marshall to earn an offer from Clemson in the future?

“I would be honored to get an offer from Clemson,” he said.

Marshall’s current offer list includes Power Five offers from Maryland, Virginia Tech, Duke and West Virginia, as well as other FBS offers from Old Dominion and East Carolina.
