Clemson returns two starters, missing key defender vs. Miami

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Clemson Tigers are welcoming back a pair of their best on both sides of the ball in Hard Rock Stadium.

Wide receiver Antonio Williams is officially back after missing three straight games. The Tigers’ leading receiver from 2022, adding him back into the fold will be crucial for Garrett Riley’s offense.

On defense, cornerback Nate Wiggins is back as well to boost the cornerback room for Mike Reed and Wes Goodwin. The bad news is Clemson may be without two of their most fearsome players up front.

As we reported early Saturday. freshman defensive tackle Peter Woods was seen in a walking boot, and his status ahead of game time will be key to watch. The Clemson Insider also confirmed defensive end Xavier Thomas is out with a non-injury situation, and he did not travel to Miami with the team.

While it appeared Clemson would be close to 100% with the bye week to recover, that’s not the case ahead of game time. Tigers-Hurricanes kicks off at 8 p.m., televised on ACC Network.
