Friday Night Lights: 2024 Clemson Class Shines

It’s time for this week’s edition of Friday Night Lights.

The Clemson Insider tracked the verbal commits for the Tigers’ 2024 class and their performances. Here’s all the highlights from Clemson’s commits.

LB Sammy Brown

The 6-foot-2 linebacker and running back led Jefferson to a 56-20 win. It was another dominant performance for Brown, who finished with six carries for 155 yards and four touchdowns while maintaining his duties as the premier linebacker for the Dragons.

WR Bryant Wesco

A matchup nightmare, Wesco helped Midlothian take down Lake Belton in a 49-28 win. Included in the performance was this touchdown, as reported by Mike Roach.

WR TJ Moore

Moore and Tampa Catholic suffered a 51-48 loss in a thriller to Fort Myers. No stats were available from the game.

TE Christian Bentancur

Marian Central suffered a 43-33 loss, but Bentancur delivered some heroics. He finished the game with a whopping 21 catches for 183 yards and three touchdowns.

DL Darien Mayo

Mayo and Good Counsel were on bye this week.

S Ricardo Jones

Jones and Northside lost to Lee County 56-7, and no stats were available from the game.

CB Corian Gipson

Gipson and his defense controlled the game for Lancaster, who dominated West Mesquite in a 55-0 victory. No stats were available from the game.

S Tavoy Feagin

Feagin and the 5-1 Carrollwood Day Patriots were on bye this week.

S Noah Dixon

Dixon and Troup County moved to 6-2 on the season with a dominant 42-14 win. Dixon scored an 8-yard touchdown run in the win.

K Nolan Hauser

Hauser continued his historic season for Hough, but he was only on extra-point duty as the Huskies marched down and scored with ease in a 63-6 win. Nonetheless, Hauser was a perfect 6-for-6 on the night.

DE Adam Kissayi

Kissayi and the 7-1 Heritage Panthers were on bye this week.

RB David Eziomume

Eziomume and North Cobb moved to 5-3 with a win. No stats were available from the game.

DL Hevin Brown-Shuler

Brown-Shuler and Pace Academy lost 27-20 Friday night. No stats were available from the loss.

DL Champ Thompson

Thompson and Meadowcreek suffered a shutout loss to Norcross. No stats were available from the game.

ATH Ashton Hampton

Hampton and FSU Univ. HS moved to 6-2 with a 43-13 win. No stats were available from the game.

OT Ronan O’Connell

O’Connell returned for Page after missing seven weeks with an injury. He helped his team move to 7-1 while performing at right tackle, as reported by Prep Redzone’s Jake Lemming.

LB Drew Woodaz

Woodaz and Jesuit handed undefeated Tampa Bay Tech their first loss of the season 35-28. Woodaz was the catalyst with an interception, fumble recovery and onside kick recovery in the waning moments that allowed the Tigers to squeak out with the win.
