Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave an update on his team’s injuries following the Tigers’ 28-20, double-overtime loss at Miami on Saturday night.
“We had several guys get banged up in the game,” Swinney said. “We’re going to have to kind of see where they all are. We’ll get back tomorrow, but gotta regroup.”
While Swinney didn’t provide an injury update on sixth-year defensive end Justin Mascoll, Swinney did comment on the injury that kept sophomore wide receiver Antonio Williams out in the second half.
“I think it was his toe, something with his toe. His ankle I think was OK,” Swinney said. “I think it was something to do with his toe.”
Williams caught two passes for 47 yards against Miami. Prior to playing in the first half against the Hurricanes, he had missed the Tigers’ previous three games after suffering an ankle injury against Florida Atlantic on Sept. 16.
As for another receiver, Tyler Brown, he left the locker room with a boot on his left foot. The freshman had five catches for 53 yards against the Hurricanes.
