Former Tiger Cut by This NFL Team

A former Clemson defensive back was released by this NFL team on Tuesday.

The Arizona Cardinals have cut former Tiger safety K’Von Wallace.

Wallace only appeared on special teams in Arizona’s Week 7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday after playing in 100 percent of the team’s defensive snaps over the previous five games.

In seven games with the Cardinals (five starts), Wallace recorded 43 tackles (26 solo), a tackle for loss, four passes defended and an interception. It marked his first career NFL pick, which he nabbed against the Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 8 in a game where he also totaled 10 tackles (seven solo), a tackle for loss and a pass defended.

Wallace was claimed off waivers by the Cardinals on Aug. 30, just one day after he was cut by the Philadelphia Eagles, with whom Wallace played 45 games across three seasons.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder was taken by the Eagles in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft following his four-year Clemson career during which he recorded 178 career tackles (5.5 for loss), 21 pass breakups, five interceptions, two sacks and two forced fumbles over 59 games (36 starts).
