RALEIGH, N.C. – Clemson has gone through a revolving door on the offensive line in 2023, especially at right guard. It’s been a competition between Mitchell Mayes and Harris Sewell, but now it appears the Tigers are making a big shift.
During pregame, Tristan Leigh was taking the reps at right guard instead of his normal spot at left tackle. Given the trust in Collin Sadler, offensive line coach Thomas Austin is making the shift and putting the reliable Leigh in a spot that Clemson is struggling at.
The Tigers are yet to find a consistent lineup through seven games, and this change is Clemson’s latest effort to find success after averaging less than a yard per carry against Miami. It’ll be interesting to see if the Tigers can find a rhythm up front against NC State.
