The No. 1 linebacker in the nation and Clemson commit Sammy Brown’s final high school season has been a magical one, and it continued on Senior Night.
Brown committed to the Tigers back in June, and he’s been an avid attendee of Clemson’s games throughout the 2023 season. With his excitement for his Tigers career rising, he still had business to handle in high school.
Coming into the game, the Jefferson Dragons knew the stakes to head into the playoffs undefeated. None more than Brown, who continued his hot streak and delivered a dominant performance.
Brown opened the game with two touchdowns in the first quarter before matching that number in ahead of halftime. Thanks to Brown’s four scores, Jefferson went to halftime and with a 35-0 lead.
On the defensive side, Brown and the Dragons shut out Heritage to end their regular season 9-0 with a 42-0 victory. After the win, Jefferson turns their focus to the region 8-AAAAA championship.
