The latest US LBM Coaches Poll was released Sunday following Week 9 of the college football season.
Of course, Clemson (4-4, 2-4 ACC) is not ranked and hasn’t been ranked in the Coaches Poll since the one released on Sept. 17, when they were 2-1 and ranked No. 23 following a 48-14 win vs. Florida Atlantic on Sept. 16.
Last week, the Tigers still appeared among the teams in the “others receiving votes” outside the top 25 of the coaches poll (getting one vote), but they are no longer getting any votes following Saturday’s 24-17 loss at NC State.
Clemson outscored NC State 10-0 in the fourth quarter and the Tigers’ defense held the Wolfpack to 202 yards, while Clemson outgained NC State 364-202, but the Wolfpack converted two takeaways into 14 points in their seven-point win.
The Tigers will return home this Saturday to kick off a three-game homestand in November when they face Notre Dame. Kickoff at Death Valley is set for 12 p.m. on ABC.
