ESPN’s College GameDay crew has made their picks for today’s game between Clemson (4-4) and No. 15 Notre Dame (7-2) at Death Valley.
Here’s who the analysts picked to win:
Desmond Howard: Notre Dame
“I know we talked about Clemson, you think that’s going to motivate them. I think it is. But I think it’s going to be too much Notre Dame offense, especially that offensive line with Joe Alt. So, I’m going Fighting Irish over Clemson.”
Pat McAfee: Notre Dame
“I love Tyler calling in and letting Dabo know that what he’s doing ain’t worth the paycheck he’s getting. I do think that is a nice motivational piece for the Clemson Tigers. But you would need a veteran, especially somebody like Will Shipley, let alone the other injuries. Let’s go with Notre Dame getting a massive win down there in Clemson and it getting even louder on the Dabo Swinney show this upcoming week.”
Lee Corso: Notre Dame
“The Irish are still in a major bowl hunt. They’ve still got a chance. Irish by four.”
Kirk Herbstreit: Clemson
“Here’s the thing about Clemson. They gave up about 202 yards last week to North Carolina State, and a lot of negative attention on their program. They can salvage their season, sitting at 4-4, if they win today. I think they come down the hill with a purpose. Their defense will keep them in the game, and I think Cade Klubnik plays better today. I go with Clemson.”
