It’s safe to say Dabo Swinney was pumped after Saturday’s game, and understandably so.
Clemson earned a hard-fought 31-23 victory over No. 12 Notre Dame at Death Valley, after which the Tigers’ head coach was fired up during his postgame interview on ABC with sideline reporter Molly McGrath.
“We ain’t had much go our way this year, but the one thing that has shown up every week is the heart and the fight of Clemson,” Swinney said. “And I know we’re down and everybody’s throwing dirt on us. But if Clemson’s a stock, you better buy all you can freakin’ can buy right now! Let’s go!”
Swinney accomplished a historic milestone on Saturday. With his 166th win, Swinney passed the legendary Frank Howard to become the winningest coach in Clemson history.
