Swinney Gives Injury Update on Mascoll

During his press conference Tuesday, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave an injury update on a starting defensive end who has been out for the last couple of games.

Swinney said sixth-year veteran Justin Mascoll is “better” and the Tigers hope to have him available for Saturday’s game against Georgia Tech.

“He’s better. Hopefully no setback today or tomorrow, and get him back,” Swinney said. “He’s been out the last couple weeks. But, excited. Hopefully he’s ready to go. I know he wants to play.”

Prior to missing the Tigers’ last two games against Notre Dame and NC State, Mascoll started each of Clemson’s first seven games this season while recording 20 tackles, three tackles for loss, a pass breakup, three quarterback pressures and the first forced fumble of his career.
