Clemson played host again this past Saturday to one of the select receivers in the 2025 class with an offer from the Tigers.
Buford (Ga.) High School’s Jordan Allen returned to campus for the Notre Dame game. It marked his second trip to Tiger Town this season, as he also took an unofficial visit for the Florida State game on Sept. 23, when he became just the second 2025 wideout to score a Clemson offer.
“It was a great time just getting back up there,” Allen said to The Clemson Insider regarding his latest visit. “Great energy. It was a great game. Huge win for them. They really showed the world what kind of team they are.”
Clearly, Allen was very impressed by the Tigers’ 31-23 victory over the then-12th-ranked Fighting Irish, and he said the highlight of the visit for him was witnessing the win.
“Because Notre Dame, they’re a great team,” Allen said. “Coming in, obviously some games haven’t gone their (Clemson’s) way this year, and it was just a big win to beat Notre Dame.”
Allen was accompanied on the visit by his mother, father and both of his brothers.
“They really enjoyed it,” he said. “We got a chance to talk to Coach Swinney, and it was just nonstop love the entire time from the whole Clemson staff.”
Speaking of Dabo Swinney and his staff, what did Allen hear from the coaches overall while he was on campus?
“They were just checking up on me,” he said, “asking about how I am doing at Buford and how my recruitment’s going and how I like Clemson, and just talking about the game that was going to go down later in the day.”
Along with his two Clemson visits, Allen has been to Duke, Tennessee, UCF, North Carolina, Georgia and Auburn this season, and he plans to return to Tennessee for its game against Georgia on Nov. 18.
Coming off another great experience at Clemson, the Tigers stand high in the recruitment of the speedy 5-foot-8, 170-pound junior, who holds close to 20 total scholarship offers.
“Clemson is definitely up there, just from the conversations that I have with them on a regular weekly basis, just the school in general,” Allen said. “Clemson is a great place, it’s a great environment, great fans, great school, great coaches. So, Clemson, they’re there for sure.”
