ESPN Analyst on if He’s Buying Stock in Swinney, Clemson

In an episode of ESPN’s College Football Live this week, there was a segment on the show about Dabo Swinney becoming Clemson’s all-time winningest head coach and surpassing Frank Howard with his 166th win last Saturday in the 31-23 victory over Notre Dame.

After the game on ABC, Swinney spoke with sideline reporter Molly McGrath and of course, the Tigers’ head man was very fired up following his team’s much-needed dub at Death Valley.

“We ain’t had much go our way this year, but the one thing that has shown up every week is the heart and the fight of Clemson,” Swinney said. “And I know we’re down and everybody’s throwing dirt on us. But if Clemson’s a stock, you better buy all you can freakin’ can buy right now!”

The clip of Swinney’s quote was replayed on College Football Live, and ESPN analyst Dusty Dvoracek was asked if he’s buying all the Clemson stock he can buy.

“I never sold any stock, Tyler!” Dvoracek said, of course referencing Tyler of Spartanburg and the confrontation on Swinney’s radio show that went viral last week.

“Of course I’m buying stock. That culture is strong. I’d like him to utilize the transfer portal a little bit more. But heck yeah, I’m buying stock in Dabo and Clemson.”
