Tough Times have Brought Tigers Together

CLEMSON — After a tough few weeks for the Clemson Tigers, they showed up last Saturday with a huge win over then No.12 Notre Dame at Memorial Stadium.

Freshman wide receiver Tyler Brown sat down with the media earlier this week to talk about the season and what’s to come for the Tigers in the next few weeks.

–Coming off the win on Saturday, the film sessions seem to be a little more enjoyable than after a loss. Brown said, “Watching that film definitely felt good, just seeing us hit on all cylinders and playing complementary football you just love to see it after the couple of games we’ve had.”

–With the teaching, there are still a guaranteed three games left in the season. The wideout was asked if he sees success in the future for this team and he said, “For sure, my guys are locked in, we’re battling through some stuff right now…the brotherhood is so strong a couple of losses won’t break us.”

–Even though Clemson is going through a bit of a rough patch this season, there are many things to still be taught. “We’re learning a lot of different things and I feel like we’re growing as a team, all these hardships are bringing us closer together and hopefully, we get some momentum down the stretch.” Brown said head coach Dabo Swinney emphasizes that these are “great teaching moments for the young guys.”

–The freshman wideout has struggled with a few injuries this season, but that doesn’t seem to stop him from being on the field. Brown said, “The game of football comes with bumps and bruises but as long as I can go out there on the field, I’m going to do my best to go out there.” The latest of these injuries was an eye and foot injury, yet Brown still found himself on the field last Saturday after not practicing but two days last week.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets come to town Saturday to face the Tigers at Memorial Stadium for a noon kick. The game will be aired on ABC.
