CLEMSON — Though he was not on the list of players unavailable for today’s game against Georgia Tech, Clemson will be without one of its defensive starters when it kicks off at noon on ABC.
Safety Jalyn Phillips will not play in today’s game. The graduate senior was seen on the sidelines in street clothes.
Phillips has been nursing a shoulder injury the last few weeks. He did not play in last week’s game against Notre Dame, either.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said earlier in the week that he did not expect Phillips to play in today’s game.
Phillips is sixth on the team in tackles with 34. He also has five passes broken up, two tackles for loss and a sack.
Clemson announced earlier that starting cornerback Sheridan Jones and wide receiver Brannon Spector were not going to play today as well.
