Swinney on Chances of Antonio Williams Returning for South Carolina Game

Clemson sophomore wide receiver Antonio Williams hasn’t played since injuring his toe against Miami on Oct. 21, when he returned from a three-game absence due to an ankle injury.

Following Saturday’s 31-20 win over No. 20 North Carolina, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was asked about the chances of the Tigers getting Williams back for next Saturday’s game at South Carolina.

“Possibly. We’ll see where he is,” Swinney said. “Probably not likely, but we do feel good about the bowl game. But we’ll see where he’s at Monday.”

Williams has 17 receptions for 192 yards and two touchdowns in four games this season after leading the Tigers with 56 catches and 604 receiving yards as a true freshman in 2022.

The sophomore has only played in four games this season.
