Swinney Gives Injury Updates Ahead of South Carolina Game

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media Tuesday and gave a number of injury updates heading into Saturday’s game against South Carolina.

Swinney was asked how Beaux Collins was doing Monday after tearing his plantar fascia in last Saturday’s game against North Carolina and said the junior receiver is “sore.”

Swinney was asked if Collins is practicing this week.

“Probably not, but we’ll see today,” Swinney said. “He was just really sore yesterday. He’s going to be fine… so, he’s kind of tender.”

Swinney was also asked how sophomore wideout Antonio Williams has looked.

Williams hasn’t played since injuring his toe against Miami on Oct. 21, when he returned from a three-game absence due to an ankle injury.

“He’s close,” Swinney said, “but he’s still in that day to day status for us.”

Swinney was also asked if redshirt sophomore receiver Troy Stellato is OK after getting banged up a couple of times against UNC.

“Yeah,” Swinney said.

Saturday’s game against South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. on SEC Network.
