A standout Palmetto State prospect, who has picked up multiple ACC offers of late, made his first visit to Clemson last Saturday.
Ridge View (Columbia, S.C.) 2026 wide receiver Jordon Gidron traveled to Tiger Town as an unofficial visitor for the North Carolina game.
“I really enjoyed the facility with everything being in one location,” Gidron told The Clemson Insider. “The highlight of the visit was meeting Coach (Tyler) Grisham and being able to be on the hill and go in the locker room pregame.”
What did Gidron hear from Grisham, Clemson’s receivers coach, during the visit?
“Being a 2026 recruit, he went over the recruiting process, said he thinks I will be great and looks forward to having me back on campus,” Gidron said.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound sophomore was accompanied by his parents on the visit.
“They both enjoyed it very much,” Gidron said. “They loved the campus, facility and the presentation.”
Gidron came away impressed by the environment in Death Valley during the Tigers’ 31-20 victory over the Tar Heels.
“The atmosphere was exciting,” he said. “The more the game went on, the louder it got, it was great.”
Gidron got his first power conference offer from Miami in October and has added two more ACC offers this month from Florida State and NC State. Charlotte, Coastal Carolina and Liberty have all offered him as well.
Gidron feels the Tigers are interested in him, and he plans on returning to campus this spring.
Following his first experience at Clemson last Saturday, what would it mean to him to score an offer from the Tigers in the future?
“After this visit, I would say Clemson would be a top school on my list if I were to get an offer,” he said.
Along with Clemson, Gidron has been able to visit Virginia Tech, NC State, South Carolina, Duke, Tennessee, North Carolina, Miami and Florida State this season.
In nine games as a sophomore this season, Gidron recorded 45 receptions for more than 700 yards and scored 10 touchdowns.
