Nice Honor for Trevor Lawrence

Former Clemson star Trevor Lawrence earned another nice honor from the NFL this week.

On Wednesday, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ franchise quarterback was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in Jacksonville’s 34-14 victory over the Tennessee Titans this past Sunday.

It’s the third time Lawrence has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week in the past two seasons.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Lawrence completed 24 of his 32 passes for 262 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions Sunday while also rushing for 17 yards and two touchdowns on five carries.

In 10 games this season, Lawrence has completed 68.1 percent of his passes for 2,382 yards and 11 touchdowns with six interceptions to go with 240 rushing yards and the two rushing scores on 49 carries.
Lawrence and the Jags (7-3) sit atop the AFC South and return to action Sunday against divisional foe Houston (6-4) at the Texans’ NRG Stadium.
