The Clemson Tigers’ strong recruiting weekend continues and Dabo Swinney’s staff has flipped a Sun Belt commit in 2024.
Daniel High School (S.C.) three-star offensive lineman Watson Young was committed to Appalachian State since June, but on Sunday he flipped to Clemson.
Young announced the decision on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Young has a strong connection with Clemson as his father, Kyle, is the Senior Associate AD in the program. With Young’s decision, the Tigers move up to 18 commitments in the 2024 cycle.
Kyle Young, of course, was a two-time All-American center at Clemson. He lettered for the Tigers from 1998-’01. Kyle was also an Academic All-American at Clemson.
