Offered Virginia CB Names Clemson Among Top 5

A talented cornerback in the 2025 class, with an offer from Clemson, named the Tigers among his top five schools via social media this evening.

Terrance “Deuce” Edwards of Trinity Episcopal School (Richmond, Va.) put the Tigers in his top five along with Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Louisville and Tennessee.

Edwards also announced that he has set a commitment date of Jan. 12.

The 6-foot-1, 178-pound junior received an offer from Clemson this past June, then made his first-ever gameday visit to Death Valley for the Florida Atlantic game on Sept. 16.

TCI recently caught up with Edwards, who explained what appeals most to him about the Tigers.

“Just everything – the history of Clemson, the coaches,” he said. “The players, they treat each other like brothers on that team. The coaches treat the players like their own sons, and it’s like a family at Clemson. Everybody’s a family. There’s no one guy bigger than the team, and that’s really something you would love to be a part of.”

Edwards had a strong junior season this year, tallying 33 tackles, three interceptions (including a pick-six), 14 pass breakups and a forced fumble to go with five touchdowns on offense.
