When it comes to trash talking on the field, you’d be hard-pressed to find a player who does it better than Christian Wilkins.
The former Clemson star and current Miami Dolphins defensive lineman joined The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz recently and discussed the “art” of trash talking.
“This trash talking thing is an art,” Wilkins said. “I’m always turnt up on gameday, going all day, every day. But then when there’s something specific (a specific weakness in someone) I can potentially get on or really dive into a little bit, that’s when it might show up a little bit more. But yeah, I’m just nonstop out there pretty much.”
Wilkins was asked if he’s the best trash talker on his team.
“Some would say, most would say that’s probably the case,” he said. “But yeah, I’m just doing me out there most of the time. Like I said, having a good time, having a fun time playing the game I’ve always played my whole life. So, yeah, most probably would say I can trash talk a little bit.”
Wilkins went into detail about the viral story of him trash talking to Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, which you can see Wilkins describe beginning around the three-minute mark of the following video.
Wilkins also weighed in on who he thinks is the offensive MVP of the Dolphins, gave his opinion on Florida State being left out of the College Football Playoff, spoke about how much fun he’s having this season and much more.
