Nice Honor for New Clemson Commit

A local standout running back, fresh off his commitment to Clemson, received a nice honor this week.

Belton-Honea Path High School’s Marquise Henderson was named WSPA’s 2023 High School Red Zone Star Of The Year, which is voted on by a panel of 10 area head coaches.

As a junior this season, Henderson rushed for a BHP single-season record 2,336 yards and ran for 37 touchdowns.

Henderson committed to Clemson this past Monday, just one day after receiving an offer from the Tigers.

The four-star prospect also had offers from Georgia Tech, Arizona, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Boston College, NC State and West Virginia among others.
