Future Tiger Earns Honors After Dominant Season

A future Clemson running back earned high honors after a dominant junior season in high school.

2025 four-star running back Gideon Davidson committed to the Tigers in June, and followed it up with a dominant season in the fall. Davidson led Liberty Christian Academy (VA.) to a 14-0 season and a 3A State Championship.

Over those 14 games, Davidson finished with 211 carries for 2,716 yards and 43 touchdowns. It was a video-game type season for the future Clemson back who averaged over 10 yards a carry. He also added two touchdowns as a receiver.

The dominant year from Davidson earned him high honors in the state of Virginia. He was named Offensive Player of the Year by the Virginia High School League, as well as first-team running back. On top of his defensive success, he earned first-team as a defensive back, where he finished with 58 total tackles and three interceptions.

Davidson is a star for the Bulldogs, and he’ll take this success into his senior season before he heads to Clemson as a member of the 2025 class.
