FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — After playing in a lot of games over the course of their lengthy Clemson careers, these Tigers are getting ready to take the field one last time with their teammates and brothers.
In a video from Clemson Football, several super seniors reflected on their time at Clemson and commented on what will be their final game as members of the program on Friday when the 22nd-ranked Tigers take on Kentucky in the Gator Bowl (12 p.m., ESPN).
“It’s a blessing to be here. It’s just so crazy,” defensive end Justin Mascoll said. “I learned so much here, man. I never thought it would come to a last day, you know what I’m saying. But it feels good, though. It’s a blessing.”
“Just blessed – just blessed for all the relationships, all the coaches, just everything,” defensive end Xavier Thomas added. “Just blessed for this opportunity to really just go out with a bang with my brothers.”
