Days separate the arrival for members of Clemson’s 2024 recruiting class, and it’s a quick turnaround from showcases for a multitude. The Under Armour All-America Game featured multiple future Tigers, and one of those was four-star cornerback Tavoy Feagin.
He’s been committed to Clemson since Dec. 2022 and a key piece in the future of Mike Reed’s unit. Following his All-American experience, Feagin caught up with The Clemson Insider to detail the trip.
Part of the lead-up and game was taking on players he’s likely to see once he’s wearing the Paw on the field. He took advantage of the opportunity to sharpen iron.
“Practice leading up to the game was very competitive from both teams and I feel like I learned the way different guys play,” Feagin said.
Feagin wasn’t the only future Tiger making their presence. He joined four-star cornerback Corian Gipson, five-star wide receiver Bryant Wesco and four-star offensive lineman Elyjah Thurmon in Camping World Stadium for the experience, so Clemson was heavily represented on the trip.
“It was fun being around the guys and it was a great feeling to be one of the best players in the country while also representing one of the best programs in the country,” Feagin said.
Feagin is set to enroll in January and join Clemson for spring practice. He’ll have a head start, one he already got when he joined the Tigers for bowl practice at Fernandina Beach, Fla. as the team prepared before their Gator Bowl victory. Feagin is a core addition to the cornerback room, and we’ll get our next look at him in the spring.
