One of the select few receivers in the 2025 class with an offer from Clemson to date is Jordan Allen.
The Clemson Insider recently caught up with the Buford (Ga.) High School standout to get the latest on his recruitment and more.
“Just continuing to talk with a couple coaches here and there, just watching these bowl games, just scouting out all the teams that have reached out to me and offered me so far,” Allen said regarding how the recruiting process is going. “Just staying in contact with those coaches.”
One of those coaches that Allen continues to keep in touch with is Tyler Grisham. Allen said he talks to the Tigers’ wide receivers coach “basically every week or so.”
“He’s stressing just how good this Clemson program is and how he wants me to be a part of it and everything like that,” Allen said of what he’s been hearing from Grisham.
Clemson offensive coordinator Garrett Riley checked up on Allen not too long ago, paying a visit to his school, and Allen hopes to return to Tiger Town in the near future.
“I’m not sure (when) right now, but I definitely want to get back up there real soon,” he said.
Allen visited Death Valley for a couple of games this season and became one of the first receivers in his class to get an offer from Clemson when he was on campus for the Florida State game in late September.
Based on what he’s seen from Clemson offensively, the speedy and explosive slot receiver feels he’d fit in well with the Tigers in their receiving corps.
“They get the ball to their playmakers,” he said. “They do what they do and just let them go.”
Allen liked how Clemson (9-4) closed out its 2023 season with last Friday’s 38-35 victory over Kentucky in the Gator Bowl – the Tigers’ fifth straight win to end the year.
“I was impressed by how Clemson had a lot of true freshmen out there playing, and they’re all dogs,” Allen said. “So, I feel like that shows how they develop their players and make them be able to play in big-time moments and big stages. It was a great game. Kentucky is a great team, and Clemson, they fought till the end, they came out with the dub.”
Allen, who has accumulated around 20 total offers, named Clemson, Tennessee, Georgia and Kansas as some of the schools recruiting him the hardest at this point in the process.
According to Allen, the Tigers are “still extremely high” on his list.
“Those schools that I named that are reaching out to me the most, those are definitely the schools that are at the top of the list,” he said.
